Stay safe in the mountains: Let the views be the only surprise

Start early and make sure you have suitable hiking footwear, layered clothing, sun protection, enough water and food, and a fully charged mobile phone. Stay on marked trails, follow signs and warnings, and respect any trail closures. It is also advisable to let someone know where you are going and when you expect to return.
There is no race against the clock in the mountains. If the weather deteriorates, the route turns out to be more demanding than expected or you no longer feel safe, turning back in time is always the right decision.
In the event of an accident or if you need emergency assistance, call 112, the European emergency number.
Let a visit to Slovenia's mountains become an extension of your sporting experience in the country - active, memorable and, above all, safe.
